Work and mental health: experience report in a Caps AD III in the city of João Pessoa, PB

One of the great challenges in mental health is in the difficulty of access of users’ to productive life. The present descriptive study seeks to report the activities developed by mental health residents in an educational group in the Psychosocial Care Center Alcohol and Drugs III (Caps AD III) in the city of João Pessoa, PB. It was used a qualitative methodology anchored in the Popular Education paradigm to promote dialogue and critical reflection about the work category and issues such as public policies, social rights and education. It is concluded that the group contributed to broaden the access conditions of users to work, resulting in the implementation of the Literate Brazil project and a project to generate income.
