Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Hospital Component of the Urgency and Emergency Care Network (RUE), and evaluate the effectiveness of Priority Care Lines in services qualified as Gateways in the regions of Brazil, between 2011- 2019. This is a descriptive and analytic study, whose data were obtained from the CNES and the control files mintained by the Ministry of Health. To assess significant differences before and after implementation of Priority Lines using the Wilcoxon test. It was found that the Southeast Region was the one that biggest growth, including the implementation of more technologically dense care points, followed by the Northeast Region, South, North and Midwest regions. The South Region stood out in the implementation of Priority Care Lines, in addition to having encompassed the largest number of implementations of these Lines, it was also the one that best showed the growth in the number of visits and the decrease in the Average Time of Permanence (AMR). The Trauma Care Line was found to be the most effective, when verifying the number of visits with population growth. It was concluded that the Hospital component of the RUE had considerable advance, however regional inequalities are still significant.
