A look at the Industrial Economic Health Complex and Translational Research

The concept of the current Industrial Economic Health Complex brings scientific and technological development closer to the productive system and knowledge utilization by society, extending the traditional concept of the 'triple propeller' to include the social use of innovation resulting in concrete results for the health sector. In this expanded conception, the translational dimension was privileged: the formation of the agenda, the list of strategic products and the incorporation of the results in the universal access to health within SUS. The translation of knowledge in this concept must be used within the framework of the CEIS, because the translational research process includes in a same strategy the knowledge, production and access of society to the products and services necessary for health and well-being, articulating the context of scientific, academic and industrial development in the country. This work seeks to make explicit this conceptual reference, that is: to reduce vulnerability in health, allowing the knowledge to reach the citizen and set the research and innovation agenda itself.
