Abstract

The text seeks to present the discussion of the Brazilian agrarian issue from the perspective of the  conflict between two models for the countryside, one  focused on the agribusiness, and one another  focusing on family farming, agrarian reform, and  traditional communities. The present article intends to visit such dispute, to update it in the context of the coup d’etat of 2016,  and to present possible  alternatives to the countryside in Brazil in search of  new paradigms.
